Hello! I’m Norah, a Boston/Chicago photographer with just under ten years of experience. I have worked as a photography intern, second photographer, main photographer, and salesperson for a camera store just to list some of that experience. Having been taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, I have extensive knowledge of studio equipment and lab work. I specialize in portraits, ranging from wedding candid to staged studio images. I also am very well-versed in film photography as well, running a darkroom in my hometown and attending a UCLA summer intensive on this medium. My personal work is centered around performance and theatrics, providing a narrative in a single image or series of images to highlight social issues or to emphasize the subject’s identity. I am extremely passionate about feminism as a woman working in the arts, specifically an art form where a woman is expected to be in front of the camera rather than behind.
